Vegas 2010

Soooo, for Christmas/Will finishing his Ph.D coursework, Will's Dad and Step Mom decided to send us on a little getaway trip to Las Vegas.  We left on December 18 and came back on December 22.   Although it rained the entire time we were there, we HAD the best time.  The hotel that we stayed at was SERIOUSLY the nicest hotel I have EVER stayed in...it was OVER THE TOP...our room alone was jaw dropping, then when you factored in the casino and all the restaurants and bars, it was ridiculous.  We stayed that the Encore, which a fairly new hotel (opened in 2008).  Everything the hotel was red, and plush and extravagant.  WE LOVED, although we TOTALLY felt out of place (we are NOT that TRENDY), we LOVED it and I could totally get use to staying in a place like that!

While in Vegas we drank, shopped, ate, gambled (a LITTLE- only lost $30 total!), and enjoyed spending time together.  We generally would grab a drink and sit and watch people, Vegas is an EXCELLENT people watching place!  We rented a car on the third day, and headed out to Red Rock Canyon. It was beautiful despite the rain.  We also went to the Hoover Dam, which was a totally AWESOME experience...its SO BIG!  In the end we were ready to head home...we were exhausted!
