This past weekend we headed to Atlanta to hang out with our friends, Amy and Alan DeMatteis. I have known Amy since we began college in 1998...she and I were pledge sisters in DZ. So, for a LONG time! We had a great weekend with them. Saturday morning we got up early and headed to Sweetwater State Park in Lithia Springs, where we went hiking. It was beautiful, and so much fun. We did however see a snake...which put a little damper on the hike, but it was a tiny baby snake, so it wasnt too scary!
After hiking for almost 3 hours, we had worked up quite an appetite, so we headed to Taqueria del Sol for some delicious food. I seriously think I could eat my body weight in their food, it is so delicious. After Taqueria we headed home to shower, then Amy and I ran up to Charming Charlie's to do a little shopping. If you ladies out there have not been to Charming Charlie's yet...YOU NEED TO GO....its an expensive accessory store. AWESOME!
Later that night we grilled out with Karen and Zach and my sister and her girlfriend came over and we played all kinds of games...its was an AWESOME night!I am looking forward to football starting this weekend...I CAN NOT believe its that time of the year again. We will be heading back to Atlanta in 2 weeks for the Avett Brothers concert...I CANT WAIT! Here are some pics from this past weekend:
