Relaxing but productive weekend!

This weekend Will and I started off with date night at Amsterdam's were we ate Mako Shark as our entree...which I was a little nervous about but it ended up being DELICIOUS! I didn't know you could eat shark but you indeed can it was yummy! I recommend it if you ever see it on a menu...it was a little bit like a white fish but with a little firmer texture. Here is a yummy recipe I found on Food Network...I might be trying this one soon:  Mako Shark

Saturday I ran errands and got my hair cut...then headed home for lunch with Will.  We decided we wanted something greasy and bad for us, since I have never been to Cheeburger Cheeburger before, Will suggested we go there.....it was NOT GOOD!  For something that is suppose to be an institution here in Auburn, it was yucky.. the service was lackluster, the food was overcooked and SUPER greasy...I will not be going back there again. I was actually pretty upset I had even wasted calories on the dang burger! Should have gone to Five Guys...now thats a good burger!

After lunch we strolled around downtown and decided to go and try the new yogurt place Tutti Frutti...again a MAJOR let down...it is NO TCBY...thats all I have to say about that! It left a terrible after taste in my mouth...I WILL not be going back there again...only TCBY for me!

So after a VERY disappointing food day for me...we spent Saturday night laying around watching TV...nothing too exciting just relaxing and spending time together.

Sunday I had to teach Sunday school, then I had a long run planned for my half marathon training.  I did a 10.6 mile run in 1 hour 28 minutes...I was SUPER pumped, probably one of my fastest times yet....I am so ready for the ING Half Marathon in two weeks on March 21! So if you are running it, I hope to see you there!

Sunday night, I was EXHAUSTED from my run, so we decided to head up to Mellow Mushroom for a little Sunday Funday. We use to have Sunday Funday's all the time when we lived in Chattanooga, but since being back in Auburn, we are so tired on Sundays we just want to eat and go to bed. When we lived in Chattanooga our two favorite Sunday Funday spots included Taco Mac and Hair of the Dog  For those of you who don't know, a Sunday Funday includes good food and some delicious drinks, I can not take the credit for this fun day...my good friend Erin Cowin is who showed me how to have a Sunday Funday and I thank her for that! Its super fun!  For this inaugural Sunday Funday in Auburn, we opted for Mellow Pizza and some high gravity beers....I slept good last night!

I am very excited about next weekend, we are heading to Atlanta to visit with my parents and to go to my best friend, Kristin's little girl Connor's 1st Birthday party...I will have some great pictures of that on my next post! Have a great week!

Thanks Erin for introducing me to Sunday Funday! Love you!
